Britt Strottman Named “Top 100 Lawyers” in California
Meyers Nave proudly announces that the Daily Journal selected Principal Britt K. Strottman to its 2017 list of “Top 100 Lawyers” in California, Britt’s second year on the prestigious list. The list recognizes “leading lawyers” who are “top in their field” and “doing cutting-edge legal work.” The evaluators of the annual report on influential attorneys in California “are looking for impact” on clients, industries, society and the legal profession from attorneys who are working on “major issues of the day making state and national headlines.”
The Daily Journal award article focuses on Britt’s leadership role as “a kind of evangelist for the legal power of local governments” based on the numerous cities and counties throughout California that Britt is helping to protect as they serve their communities. The Daily Journal highlighted Britt’s assistance with an $85 million settlement for a coalition of public entities when the state’s last nuclear power plant closes in San Luis Obispo, a multimillion dollar settlement from PG&E for the City of Carmel regarding a gas leak explosion, negotiations on behalf of Calaveras County for a settlement from PG&E for the deadly Butte Fire that caused more than $1 billion in damages, and her seven-years of Special Counsel services to the City of San Bruno that resulted in more than $120 million in settlements from PG&E as well as record regulatory fines, felony convictions and other penalties.
