Title: Attorney Kenton Alm Joins Meyers Nave

SAN LEANDRO, Calif., Sept. XX, 2002 - Meyers Nave has announced that Kenton L. Alm, an attorney specializing in environmental law, has joined the law firm as a principal. Alm was most recently a partner in the Walnut Creek firm of Sellar, Hazard, McNeely, Alm & Manning.

Steven Meyers, founder and managing shareholder of Meyers Nave, said, "In his 25 years of practice, Kent has established an outstanding reputation in legal matters relating to sanitation, water, solid-waste, recycling, public works and many other aspects of public law. That experience is a perfect complement to our firm's full-service work with public entities throughout California."

Alm has provided district-counsel services to a wide range of clients, including: Central Contra Costa Sanitary District; Novato Sanitary District; Central Contra Costa Solid Waste Authority; West Contra Costa Integrated Waste Management Authority; and other special districts. His clients have also included a number of California cities and counties.

Alm is a member of the public law and environmental law section of the California State Bar. He has served on a number of legislative committees, and has chaired a statewide attorney's committee on environmental and public works issues. Additionally, Alm is active in the California Association of Sanitation Agencies.

In 1970, Alm received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He then earned a juris doctorate degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1973.
