MEYERS NAVE ATTORNEYS APPOINTED TO CITY POSITIONS IN THE CITY OF PINOLE

Contra Costa County, CA, September 23, 2005- Meyers Nave announces the appointments of Chris Brophy as Assistant City Attorney and Michelle Sexton as the Assistant General Counsel of the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Pinole. Meyers Nave and its attorneys are pleased to be recognized for its work with all types of public entities in California. The Firm provides the full scope of legal services to cities, counties, redevelopment agencies and special districts statewide.

Benjamin Reyes, Meyers Nave principal and City Attorney for the City of Pinole, believes that with these two attorneys on the team Pinole is in a better position to meet its ambitious goals. "Both Michelle and Chris are devoted to practicing municipal law. With Michelle's experience as a Redevelopment Agency Commissioner and Chris' familiarity with the City, they are the ideal additions. We are excited to continue our service to one of Contra Costa County's finest cities," said Reyes.

Mr. Brophy's practice focuses on municipal and redevelopment law, making him well-versed with the full range of public law issues including the Brown Act, Public Records Act, land use and other real estate matters. His past experience includes serving with the Alameda County Counsel's office, where he focused on a wide variety of public law matters.He also has experience in the areas of municipal finance and energy law. Brophy received his undergraduate degree from Dickinson College, and his J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Ms. Sexton is a member of the Redevelopment Group with expertise in the area of municipal finance. She has represented numerous public entities in connection with the redevelopment and revitalization of blighted areas and the structuring, acquisition or issuance of municipal debt. Previously, she served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Oakland where she advised the Revenue Division. Sexton is a graduate of Santa Clara University School of Law.
