Attorney Elizabeth Pianca Named Assistant City Attorney
SANTA ROSA, CA – (April 16, 2008) – The City of
Cotati has named Meyers Nave principal Richard
Rudnansky as City Attorney and Meyers Nave attorney Elizabeth
Pianca as Assistant City Attorney.
Cotati has long been considered the “hub” of Sonoma County by virtue
of its central location and its distinct and historic hexagonal plaza. Cotati
is a city of a little over 7,000 residents spread over 1.89 square miles located
approximately 45 miles from San Francisco.
Richard Rudnansky, principal in charge of Meyers Nave’s Santa Rosa office,
is currently Town Attorney for the Town of Windsor, General Counsel for the
Windsor Redevelopment Agency and Windsor Water District, and General Counsel
for the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority of Marin. He also serves
as special counsel to a number of other cities. Rudnansky is also former city
attorney for the cities of Larkspur and Petaluma and is currently a member of
the Board of Directors of the Sonoma County Bar Association and Chair of its
Public Law Section.
Elizabeth Pianca, an associate in Meyers Nave’s Santa Rosa office, advises
public entity clients on aspects of municipal law including Brown Act, Public
Records Act, elections law and transactional and litigation matters. She has
handles Pitchess motions and has extensive experience representing local government
with respect to code enforcement issues and the drafting of ordinances. Pianca
also assists Rudnansky with respect to the Town of Windsor.
