Former San Francisco Unified School District General Counsel Maribel Medina Joins Meyers Nave as Principal
Meyers Nave announced today that recognized public law attorney Maribel Medina joined the firm as Principal, expanding the firm’s education law practice. Ms. Medina brings extensive experience with over sixteen years of public law experience and most recently served as General Counsel for the San Francisco Unified School District, the highest performing school district in California.

She brings extensive expertise in public law that strengthens our already robust ability to serve our clients,” said Meyers Nave Managing Principal David Skinner. “In addition, she will help Meyers Nave meet the growing demand for sophisticated legal counsel in public law matters.”
Ms. Medina has also served as Special Counsel to the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest school district in the country. She has extensive experience handling a wide variety of municipal and public law matters as assistant and deputy city attorney for numerous cities.

Ms. Medina is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of New York. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. She also earned a Masters in Public Administration at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and earned a B.A. in Sociology, Chicano Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
