Alexander Kat
Overview
Alexander Kat is an Associate in Meyers Nave’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Group.
Prior to joining Meyers Nave, Alexander served as a Judicial Extern for the United States District Court for the Southern District of San Diego where he prepared documents and orders and analyzed complaints, motions and exhibits. Prior to his externship, he served as Law Clerk for a boutique labor law defense firm in San Diego.
Alexander has extensive experience conducting research on a wide range of topics including employment related matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, PAGA and wage-and-hour disputes. His experience also includes witness preparation, reviewing pleadings, and drafting motions, employee handbooks and employment agreements.
While in law school, Alexander was Employment and Labor Law Society President and President of the La Raza Law Students Association.
Alexander’s advocacy and volunteer work includes serving as a project volunteer for L.E.A.D., a ten-week educational crime prevention program that inspires youth to make positive life choices. In addition, he has organized and moderated discussions on diversity and inclusion in the legal community and recruiting opportunities for diverse candidates.
