Brenda Ayon Verduzco
Brenda Ayon Verduzco is a Senior Associate in Meyers Nave’s Labor and Employment Practice Group. Her experience includes representing individuals and public entities in high-impact cases in federal court. In high-profile high-impact litigation, she has successfully represented California and several other states, often achieving favorable outcomes and speedy resolutions. Brenda has a keen understanding of civil rights laws and regulations affording her a distinct perspective in her field of work.
Before joining Meyers Nave, Brenda held a position at the U.S. Department of Labor, Civil Rights Center, investigating Title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Additionally, she worked at the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions on occupational labor regulations. Her previous experience includes investigations and affirmative litigation related to healthcare access while working as a Deputy Attorney General for the California Department of Justice.
Having completed an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Sociology at the University of California, Irvine, Brenda earned a JD from Loyola Law School in 2016. As a California native, her legal career focuses on advancing state interests. Through this experience, Brenda gained a deep understanding of state and local regulations affecting California businesses, consumers, and communities.
