City of Livingston Appoints Jose Sanchez as City Attorney
At its March 1st council meeting, the City Council of the City of Livingston appointed Jose Sanchez as its City Attorney. He has been the Interim City Attorney for the City since September 2010. Jose’s municipal law practice focuses on advising both cities and special districts on a full range of legal issues including land use, code enforcement, the Public Records Act, the Brown Act, and public contracting.
In addition to Livingston, Jose serves as deputy city attorney for the cities of Rancho Cordova and Atwater. As the lead code enforcement attorney for Rancho Cordova, Jose has drafted ordinances and provided critical support for enforcement activities that recently won the City a statewide award for its “Blight Busters” program. His recent work for the City of Atwater includes advising the City in the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant.
