Daily Journal Recognizes Meyers Nave Principal Edward L. Kreisberg on its Top Labor & Employment Attorneys List in California
The Daily Journal named Meyers Nave Principal Edward “Eddie” Kreisberg to its esteemed list of California’s Top Labor and Employment Attorneys. The list honors lawyers who have excelled in the practice of labor and employment law. The Daily Journal noted Mr. Kreisberg’s successful negotiations and his acumen in assisting numerous companies and municipalities in handling labor and employment legal issues.

Mr. Kreisberg specializes in providing labor and employment litigation, advice, arbitration, administrative hearing and negotiation services to public and private employers throughout the State of California. His expertise includes representation of employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, benefits, and labor agreement lawsuits. Mr. Kreisberg’s practice regularly includes advising employers on the full range of labor and employment issues, including layoffs and furloughs, accommodation of disabilities, discipline, grievances, pension, health and retiree health, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), privacy, Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) charges, overtime, the Police and Firefighter Bill of Rights Acts, labor relations, harassment, drug and alcohol, and violence in the work place.
Mr. Kreisberg also represents employers in discipline, grievance, and interest arbitrations, as well as administrative hearings before civil service commissions, the Public Employment Relations Board, the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), the Department of Labor, and the Employment Development Department. He regularly audits public agency rules, labor contracts, job descriptions and payroll practices to ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.
Mr. Kreisberg’s notable clients include the cities of Santa Clara, Fremont, Dixon, National City, Union City and Los Angeles and the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District and East Bay Regional Park District. In addition to his extensive labor and employment practice, Mr. Kreisberg is a sought after negotiator and advisor on all aspects of labor relations. His work includes negotiating and advising on successor Memoranda of Understanding (MOU), side letters, personnel rules, employee handbooks, department policies, civil service rules, past practice and employer-employee relations resolutions.
Mr. Kreisberg received his BA in Economics and History in 1990 from University of California at Berkeley and his JD from University of California at Davis, King Hall School of Law, in 1995.
