Eric Casher Shares His Experience and Advice on Improving Wellness and Well-being for Attorneys

iMatterNow helps attorneys live healthier, happier and more successful lives by improving physical and mental well-being in both the personal and professional arenas.  Meyers Nave Principal Eric Casher participated in iMatterNow’s “Attorney Heart” podcast series to share his experience and advice on his strategies for improving wellness and well-being.  In his podcast, Eric describes his specialty areas of practice, what inspired him to become an attorney, his passion for public law and public service, and how he uses triathlons – including a recent five-hour half ironman triathlon – to improve and protect his well-being.  As Eric stated in the podcast, “If you want to be a good productive attorney, you have to take care of both your mental and physical health.” Eric’s podcast is available on the icons below.

A few of Eric’s key podcast takeaways include:

  1. Have No Fear – In both our professional and personal lives, do not be afraid to believe you can be the best in whatever it is you want to do, and don’t ever think you can’t do something.
  2. Sticktoitiveness – Know your passion and find a path to pursue it. Be persistent. Don’t be defeatist and don’t give up on your dreams.
  3. Train for the Journey – The practice of law is a marathon. Set goals, stay focused and be disciplined. Train for the distance so you are ready to be in it for the long haul. Achieving goals will help motivate you and keep you in the race.
  4. You Matter – You are no good to anyone else if you are not taking care of yourself.
