The Association of Environmental Professionals has set its Advanced CEQA Workshops for 2017. Meyers Nave welcomes your attendance at the February 24 program in San Jose where Tim Cremin, Principal and Chair of the firm’s Climate Change and Green Initiatives Practice, will be one of the presenters at this day-long event. This workshop is designed to help consultants, regulators, applicants, and industry professionals stay current on legal trends, and “hot topics” affecting CEQA and the CEQA Guidelines. The Advanced CEQA Workshop includes the following topics: important CEQA legal decisions from 2016, a Legislation/Guidelines update, CEQA streamlining (including subsequent environmental review), Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and Climate Change legal developments, and Energy Impact Analysis. The agenda is available here. The Workshop is approved for AICP and MCLE credits.
One of the sessions Tim will lead focuses on GHG and Climate Change including the new State 2030 GHG reduction target under SB 32, the recently released 2017 Climate Change Scoping Plan Update to meet the 2030 target, and key questions on whether a 2050 target needs to be addressed under CEQA and other planning documents.
