Environmental Stumbling Blocks for P3 Projects: Avoiding Project Litigation and Overcoming Community Opposition

Public-private partnerships that plan, develop and deliver projects frequently encounter environmentally based opposition, ranging from NIMBY community issues to years-long litigation over complicated compliance with local, state and federal environmental laws and regulations. Please join Meyers Nave Of Counsel Shiraz Tangri and Principal Jon Goetz on October 24 at the P3 Higher Education Summit for a roundtable discussion on avoiding environmental litigation and overcoming community opposition to development projects. Their case studies will focus on P3 projects and projects in the higher education setting.

Shiraz and Jon will share streamlining strategies and practical insights gained from their extensive experience completing hundreds of environmental reviews for a wide range of projects and coordinating with government agencies to secure environmental permits and approvals for development projects. They also will provide first-hand guidance on how to bulletproof environmental compliance documentation and successfully defend litigation that is designed to stall and halt project completion.
