Please join Meyers Nave attorneys Camille Hamilton Pating and Shaye Diveley for their “Elimination of Bias” presentation at CLE Internationals’ Land Use Law Conference September 18-19 at the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Conference Center. Their presentation is approved for MCLE and AICP credit. The conference covers legal and regulatory updates relating to regional planning, affordable housing, transportation policy, CEQA issues, water supply, sustainable communities, and more.
Camille and Shaye’s presentation addresses bias issues that might arise in the land use law context, with a focus on recognizing and eliminating implicit bias. They will discuss the state of diversity in the land use, real estate and development professions, as well as the work culture in those professions and best practices for creating awareness of bias and implementing remedies. Their presentation covers potential bias issues from the perspective of both the private and public sectors that are involved in land use.
