State Mandated AB 1234 Ethics Training

Please join Meyers Nave Principal Richard Pio Roda for a two-part session on State Mandated AB 1234 Ethics Training at the Annual Conference of the California Special Districts Association on October 11 in San Diego, CA.

Assembly Bill No. 1234 mandates local agency officials must receive two hours of ethics training every two years. Richard will cover all of the required topics for local agency officials to meet the State law requirements.

The two-part session will address:

  • Personal gain by public servants — conflict of interest, bribery and nepotism
  • Gift, travel and mass mailing restrictions
  • Honoraria, financial interest disclosure and competitive bidding
  • Prohibitions on the use of public resources for personal or political purposes
  • Ralph M. Brown Act
  • Public Records Act

Date:  Tuesday, October 11th

Times:  11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (part 1) & 2:00 PM – 3:15 PM (part 2)

Where: Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina, San Diego, CA

Note:  Attending both sessions is required in order to receive your certificate.
