Staying in Compliance: Understanding Fundamental Special District Laws

Please join Meyers Nave Of Counsel Jennifer Faught and Senior Associate Lauren Quint for a two-part presentation on “Staying in Compliance: Understanding Fundamental Special District Laws” at the Board Secretary/Clerk Conference of the California Special Districts Association on October 24 in Anaheim, CA.

The two-part program will provide an overview of key laws and legislative developments affecting special districts. The presentation is designed to assist special district Board members and trustees, staff and others who interact with special districts on a regular basis.

Attendees will receive information, updates and practical insights on a variety of laws affecting special districts, including:

  • Ralph M. Brown Act
  • California Public Records Act
  • Government Code section 1090 (conflicts of interest)
  • Political Reform Act
