About the Position
Meyers Nave is looking for a smart, thoughtful and motivated attorney with 4-to-7 years of experience to join the Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group in our Oakland office. The ideal candidate will have experience working with public agencies, including cities and special districts, and a demonstrated interest in public agency law or public service. The position will be a member of an existing team that values collaboration, creativity, and client service.
Key qualifications include excellent writing and research skills, superior public speaking ability and the ability to immediately work directly with clients. Transactional experience is essential. Relevant professional experience may include, but is not limited to, Brown Act (California’s open meeting laws), Public Records Act, Political Reform Act, conflicts of interest and Government Code 1090, public contracting and procurement, land use and CEQA, transportation, real estate, legislative affairs, public finance and elections.

The salary range for this California-based role is $160,000 – $175,000, and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, skill set and office location. Meyers Nave offers a reasonable billable hours requirement, annual discretionary and billable hours bonuses, competitive health insurance benefits, 401(k) with a partial match and profit-sharing.
