Meyers Nave proudly announces that Jon E. Goetz has joined the firm, bringing three decades of real estate law expertise to clients throughout California.  Jon represents a broad spectrum of private-sector businesses, including landowners and real estate developers, as well as public entities, such as cities, housing authorities, and universities, in nearly every type of real estate development project. His extensive experience covers land use planning and entitlements, infrastructure financing, environmental and CEQA approvals, affordable and market-rate housing, and purchase, sale, lease and other development agreements.

Jon has worked on mixed-use public-private development projects, urban and master planned community housing, transit village developments, open-air retail and entertainment centers, California’s first fully solar powered multifamily housing project, university workforce housing, and redevelopment and rehabilitation projects. His commercial projects include shopping centers, hotels, theaters, “big box” stores, restaurants, auto dealerships, and numerous purchases and sales of residential, business and agricultural properties.

Jon earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School, cum laude, and a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, magna cum laude. He is a member of the California Association for Local Economic Development and the Urban Land Institute. He can be reached at 213.265.3756 and jgoetz@meyersnave.com.

“Economic development, through both public and private investment, continues to power California forward.  We see expansion in every sector – technology, agriculture, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and all types of housing. We also see it in the need to improve public infrastructure, particularly transportation, water and energy.  Jon is an excellent addition to the team of Meyers Nave attorneys who help clients with the complex real estate issues that are involved in these critical projects,” said David Skinner, Managing Principal of Meyers Nave. “I am very excited to join Meyers Nave. The firm is an ideal match for me and opens the door to expanding my practice throughout the firm’s California offices. Meyers Nave has an outstanding reputation for the quality and sophistication of its work for public and private clients. I will be joining a great team,” explained Goetz.
