ABOUT THE POSITION

Meyers Nave is looking for an accomplished and  very experienced attorney with a minimum of 8 years of relevant land use and/or development experience for the Land Use Practice Group in its Los Angeles, Oakland or Sacramento offices. A successful candidate should demonstrate outstanding writing ability, superior advocacy skills and dedication to the practice of land use law. Candidates must have prior work experience, in the public or private sector, in CEQA, NEPA and other environmental protection laws as well as planning and zoning law.  The position requires both litigation and transactional expertise.  Experience working with transportation agencies will be a plus. Candidate should have experience being lead attorney and managing significant development projects (including interaction with regulatory agencies, public agencies and clients) and litigation cases (brief writing and oral argument).  Successful candidates should also demonstrate a strong work ethic, the ability to work well in a team environment and dedication to the practice of law.
