Meyers Nave Elevates Richard D. Pio Roda to Principal

San Francisco, CA – Meyers Nave is pleased to announce that Richard D. Pio Roda has been elevated to Principal status.

Mr. Pio Roda joined Meyers Nave in 2004 after leaving the San Francisco Unified School District as a Deputy General Counsel. As a member of Meyers Nave’s San Francisco office, Mr. Pio Roda has continued to develop his public law practice specializing in municipal law, public contracts and construction, education law, election law, and corporate law practice. Mr. Pio Roda is recognized as a skilled trainer and presenter on issues of government ethics, conflicts of interest, the Brown Act and the Public Records Act, and public contracting, bidding and construction. Mr. Pio Roda serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of San Leandro, General Counsel for the Mendocino County Community Development Commission, and as special counsel to other public agencies. Mr. Pio Roda served as the Assistant City Attorney for the cities of Milpitas and Oakley providing counsel in all aspects of public law from 2004 until 2007.

Mr. Pio Roda is actively involved in his community as a member of the Board of directors of the Ella Hill Hutch Community Center, the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center, and the San Francisco-Manila Sister City Committee. Richard is an active member of the Filipino Bar Association of Northern California, where he served as President from 2006-2007. He also volunteers as a professional auctioneer, conducting numerous auctions over 13 years to help raise money for charities, schools, foundations, and non-profit organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
