Meyers Nave Welcomes 2020 Diversity Fellowship Program Fellows

Meyers Nave shares the exciting news that Mecole T. and Carolina Ugalde have joined the firm as Fellows in our 2020 Diversity Fellowship Program. Mecole and Carolina have both completed their first year at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Mecole’s interest in labor and employment law is supported by her valuable experience working as a Labor Relations Analyst for Alameda County and an Associate Human Resources Analyst for the City of Berkeley. Carolina’s interest in litigation and immigration law includes an important background as an Intern for the Merced District Attorney, a Paralegal at the Franco Law Group, and advocacy work on behalf of her community. We are excited to welcome Mecole and Carolina to the Meyers Nave community and we are proud to be part of the professional journey for Mecole and Carolina!

Meyers Nave’s Diversity Fellowship Program is designed to promote diversity throughout the legal profession by helping to build a pipeline of diverse attorneys at the law school level. The Program includes (1) a paid, full-time, 10-week Fellow position at Meyers Nave during the summer after the first year of law school with a possible extension to second year summer, (2) annual tuition assistance of $5,000 following each summer completed with Meyers Nave, (3) mentoring during law school from Meyers Nave attorneys focusing on academic work and the practice and business of law, and (4) a potential Associate position at Meyers Nave after law school.
