Robin Baral Joins Meyers Nave’s Land Use and Environmental Law Practice
Meyers Nave proudly announces that Robin Baral has joined the firm as Of Counsel in the Land Use and Environmental Law Practice Group. Based in the Sacramento office, Robin is an important addition to the ongoing expansion of this statewide Practice Group. Robin provides counsel to public and private entities in the areas of land use, environmental law and public finance.
Robin’s land use practice includes negotiating development agreements, processing specific plans and other complex entitlement packages, conducting environmental review under CEQA and State Planning Zoning Law, and establishing viable tax and public finance mechanisms. He has worked on the permitting, construction and financing of public and private projects totaling in the hundreds of millions of dollars, including groundwater treatment projects, solar and wind energy facilities, wastewater treatment plants, water bottling facilities, rail transloading facilities, and waste disposal facilities.
Robin’s environmental expertise focuses on helping clients develop permitting strategies for new and emerging technologies. He is particularly adept at providing strategic counsel in response to state legislative and regulatory mandates, ranging from housing policies to waste management and recycling requirements. Robin also works with developers and local agencies to implement finance mechanisms and ratemaking proceedings, through the adoption of Mello-Roos Community Facilities Districts, impact fees, special assessments, and other voter-approved taxes.
Robin earned a JD from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles and a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
