Deborah Fox Named “Top Women Lawyers” in California, Speaks at Women Leadership in Law Conference

Meyers Nave proudly announces that the Daily Journal selected Principal Deborah J. Fox to its 2018 list of “Top Women Lawyers” in California. The list honors women lawyers who have made a difference to their clients, their firms and their profession. On May 2, the day the list was published, Deborah also shared her insight and experience as a speaker on the topic of “Women in the Courtroom” at the Daily Journal’s Women Leadership in Law conference in Beverly Hills.

The Daily Journal award article features Deborah’s expertise with First Amendment issues and her focus on litigation involving the convergence of First Amendment, land use, and zoning laws and regulations. The article covers Deborah’s recent victories defending a County of San Bernardino ordinance that prohibits solicitation around the County’s Hall of Justice and defending the city of Los Angeles against a group of plaintiffs who wanted to vend items on the Venice Boardwalk. The article also describes a case Deborah is currently handling involving injunctive relief for the County of Los Angeles regarding a resident’s operation of an illegal dump in the Santa Susana Mountains.
