Overview

Blake Senet is an Associate in the Land Use and Environmental Practice Group, focusing on matters related to housing, entitlement, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance and real estate development. Blake’s experience includes advising clients on regulatory compliance for a wide range of complex projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use, and public works developments throughout California.

Blake has experience drafting development and leasing agreements for housing and infrastructure projects, as well as performing title review. Additionally, Blake represents both private and government clients in administrative hearings and litigation. This litigation includes both defending against CEQA challenges and real property related litigation including easement disputes.

Before joining Meyers Nave, Blake assisted large homebuilder clients with their purchasing and entitlement process. Blake has a particular interest in California housing issues and has worked on matters involving the State’s Builders’ Remedy and Density Bonus Law.

After law school, Blake served as a full-time law clerk for the Metropolitan Water District, where he conducted research on CEQA matters, assisted with water transactions, and worked on various California Bay Delta issues. He also served as a board member of the Real Estate Law Association and conducted research for the Resnick Center for Food Law & Policy at UCLA School of Law.
