Transportation and Infrastructure
Our Transportation and Infrastructure Practice Group draws on the experience of our attorneys across multiple interrelated practice areas to provide comprehensive legal support our clients. This interdisciplinary team has extensive experience working with government agencies, private businesses, and public-private partnerships that are responsible for planning, developing, building, upgrading, operating and maintaining transportation projects – including ports, airports, freight railways and railyards, urban rail transit, roadways, freeways, bridges – as well as infrastructure projects such as water supply and distribution, waste water treatment, power generation and transmission lines, telecommunications and communication towers.
Meyers Nave also has deep experience helping clients navigate California’s evolving transportation policies and regulatory landscape, including Regional Transportation Plans (RTPs), Sustainable Communities Strategies (SCS) under SB 375, and Alternative Transportation Metrics under SB 743. Our team advises clients on integrating land use, transportation, and environmental goals to align projects with state climate mandates, streamline CEQA compliance, and leverage SB 743’s vehicle miles traveled (VMT) approach for transportation impact analysis.
For airport-related projects, we provide legal counsel on Airport Master Plans, Airport Land Use Compatibility Plans, and compliance with the State Aeronautics Act and the Airport Noise and Capacity Act (ANCA). We also advise Airport Land Use Commissions and public agencies on airport development, land use compatibility, and regulatory compliance to ensure alignment with state and federal aviation policies.
