Nadia P. Bermudez brings deep experience and a sharp understanding of California’s ever-evolving business and employment landscape. A Principal in Meyers Nave’s Labor and Employment Practice Group, she focuses on protecting her clients’ rights while helping them move forward with confidence. Whether she’s in the courtroom or advising behind the scenes, Nadia’s approach is grounded in practical strategy, legal insight, and a clear commitment to her clients.

Her work spans both litigation and proactive counseling, guiding clients through complex issues like wage and hour compliance, internal investigations, and workplace policy development. Her work contributes not just to legal resolution, but to building healthier, more respectful environments. She’s equally comfortable representing clients in high-profile disputes as she is helping them stay ahead of potential problems. Clients appreciate her ability to think several steps ahead and tailor solutions to their specific needs. She zealously represents her clients at hearings, arbitrations, and trials through appeals.

Nadia regularly defends employers in a wide range of employment matters, including claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes. She also advises and represents companies in complex disputes involving employees and former employees, particularly in matters related to misappropriation of trade secrets, breaches of confidentiality agreements, unfair competition, and other business torts. Her work includes pursuing or defending against claims that have significant financial and reputational impact on the employer.

Nadia is widely recognized for her training work in harassment prevention, disability law, and diversity in the workplace. She frequently leads workplace investigations and is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators.  Nadia’s expansive background in employment law has led her to  serve as an expert witness on a variety of employment matters.

Beyond her legal practice, Nadia plays a key role in the broader legal community. She serves on the Advisory Board for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to the Judicial Selection Advisory Committee for San Diego and Imperial Counties, where she has served as Vice Chair since 2019.

Nadia earned her undergraduate degree from UC Irvine and her J.D. from Stanford Law School. Her work has been recognized at both the state and national levels. Honors include being named a Top Young Attorney by the Hispanic National Bar Association, a Top 25 San Diego Women Super Lawyer (2019–2026), and a Top 100 Leader in Law (2019 and 2022). She is a past President of both Lawyers Club of San Diego and San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, and she’s held leadership roles such as Chair of the Merit Selection Panel for the Southern District Court of California. She also served on Senator Dianne Feinstein’s Advisory Committee for the Southern District of California from 2009 to 2023, helping recommend candidates for key federal appointments.
